The MAD magazine debuted back in 1952. At the time, it was not a magazine, but a comic. It got changed to the form of a magazine in 1955. Harvey Kurtzman, Al Feldstein, Nick Meglin, John Ficarra, and Bill Morrison succeeded one another as the editor of the magazine. But it is Al Feldstein who still possesses the record of copies sold, with more than 2 millions of copies sold in 1974. This humoristic magazine is considered as one of the pioneers of the genre and has influenced the cultural landscape of the United States.
